ExpanSIS
ExpanSIS is an award-winning, secure, web-based student information system for multi-institution course and program management. It contains institution, instructor, course, enrollment, program, and revenue information. Institutional partners routinely use ExpanSIS to enroll students in consortium courses, access class rosters, and report grades. The data are also used in program decision making, invoicing, benchmarking, preparing funding agency reports and conducting research projects.
In collaboration with the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (Great Plains IDEA), the Institute for Academic Alliances, and the Office of Mediated Education, ExpanSIS was created to provide a searchable repository of courses offered by institutional partners and a comprehensive module for the partners to input student, course, and financial information.
